Combined Chlorine ( Chloramines )
Combined chlorine occurs when free available chlorine combines with ammonia or other nitrogen containing contaminants present in pool water. Always stand clear of the pool filter when you start your system up. Pump pressure can cause the tank to expand and if the clamp(s) are loose there is a potential for the lid to come off.

It is that time of year where brown patch begins to develop in the lawn. If you have an irrigation system we suggest watering only in the mornings so the grass does not sit wet overnight when fungus is likely to spread. Cheesy Corn Dip 2 cups – Mayo, 2 cans – Mexican blend corn, 2 cups – shredded Mexican blend cheese, 1 cup – graded Parmesan cheese, chopped Jalapeno peppers to taste. Mix all ingredients in bowl and transfer to a 9″ X 9″ baking dish. Cook at 350 degrees until top is golden brown. (approx. 20 min.) Serve hot with tortilla chips, Ritz crackers, etc. Enjoy! With Winter winding down, Palm trees may have some brown and/or browning on their fronds this time of year, and they prefer not to be trimmed off until it is warmer. The Palms use all the fronds to generate food and continue feeding the Palm to keep it stronger during the winter.

The Pool Man, Inc. service tip: Pool lights aren’t turning on? The first place to check is the GFCI outlet or the circuit breaker connected to the pool lights. Many times it just requires the GFCI outlet to be reset. If you are not sure, just call our Service Manager and he would be happy to walk you through it or schedule one of our Technicians to come out. All of our Technicians are certified and licensed with the State of Texas.
