Summer is here and the weeds are too! One common weed that is the most stubborn is called ‘Nut grass’ or ‘Nut sedge’. It is a grassy weed that we recommend not pulling as it promotes spreading if it is pulled. The most efficient way to treat this is with a select herbicide indicated to treat nut grass. Make sure to follow the label instructions prior to treating the area in question. If it is in the lawn, we suggest not mowing the grass 2 days prior and 2 days after treatment and not to water the area before or after treatment so it can absorb the herbicide.
